Katie Tobin is a national security expert with two decades of experience working in government, the private sector and United Nations.
From 2021 to 2024, Katie served in the White House National Security Council as Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Transborder. In that role, Katie led U.S. policy on a wide-range of cross-border national security matters, including migration management, aviation and maritime security, border security, global immigration and visa policy, and security screening and vetting.
Today, Katie advises companies in the homeland security and humanitarian space. She also teaches at the University of Chicago, is a nonresident scholar at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and is a regular press contributor.
